[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] KCC Construction donated 40,000 briquettes as part of its social contribution project to spread a culture of sharing in the New Year of the Year of the Ox.
On the 7th, KCC Construction announced that it delivered 40,000 briquettes to the Busan Briquette Bank, asking that they be used to help neighbors in need. The briquettes donated by KCC Construction are scheduled to be distributed to underprivileged groups in the Busan area.
A KCC Construction official said, "Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), briquette donations have decreased, and we made this donation to provide some support to those spending an unusually cold winter." He added, "It is unfortunate that we cannot personally deliver briquettes to neighbors in need due to COVID-19, but we hope that the pandemic will end soon so that KCC Construction employees can once again volunteer by traversing the Sanbok roads."
Meanwhile, KCC Construction has been continuously donating briquettes every winter to help neighbors in need. Since 2014, it has carried out briquette volunteer activities for eight years, and the total number of briquettes donated to date is 290,000.
