[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Controversy has erupted over allegations that BJ Ttaengcho exploited a person with intellectual disabilities to conduct a nudity broadcast.

On the 5th, a post titled "AfreecaTV BJ Ttaengcho takes a woman with level 3 intellectual disability to do nudity broadcast" was uploaded on the community site BobaeDream.

The author claimed that AfreecaTV BJ Ttaengcho uses a woman, Ms. A, who suffers from intellectual disabilities, to make money on various broadcasting platforms.

The author said, "He takes someone with no cognitive ability around, buys her a bowl of jajangmyeon all day, receives star balloons on his broadcast, and makes Ms. A do the reactions."

He continued, "Ms. A dances all day while Ttaengcho does nothing but sits and says a few words," adding, "When viewers said Ms. A was hungry and asked to buy her food, he never bought it until he received the expected sponsorship."

In particular, the author said, "Not only that, he took her to Rose TV and made her do a 'nudity broadcast,'" even posting a broadcast verification photo.

He also revealed, "There was even a scene of coercive sexual acts."

The author stated, "Even now, BJ Ttaengcho is brazenly mocking viewers who criticize him for using a person with intellectual disabilities to make money," and added, "I intend to publicize the heinous acts of this malicious BJ who exploits intellectual disabilities for profit."

Netizens reacted to the post with anger, saying, "This goes beyond common sense," "Please cover this case," "Isn't this a crime?" and "I hope this gets publicized so that such a person is expelled."

Another netizen commented, "Very malicious. Ms. A seems to lack much situational judgment. Even though she said she was sick and did not want to do the nudity broadcast, she was forced to do it," and added, "At the end of the broadcast, since the situation looked very difficult, (BJ Ttaengcho) said he would 'register a marriage.' Please help Ms. A, who is unaware and being exploited for money."

Meanwhile, according to the online broadcasting platform's operational policies, there are regulatory items such as obscenity, youth harm, violation of public morals, discrimination and derogation of disabled persons, but it is reported that BJ Ttaengcho has not yet faced any particular sanctions.
