[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Kumho Tire announced on the 4th that it received the '2020 Korea Education Donation Award' hosted by the Ministry of Education in recognition of its contribution to revitalizing education donations.

Now in its 9th year last year, the 'Korea Education Donation Award' is given annually to outstanding organizations and individuals who have actively carried out education donation activities. Kumho Tire's representative education donation activity is the 'Hope Study Room' program, launched in 2016 to improve the educational environment for adolescents from low-income families. This project, which provides PCs, furniture, and other environmental improvements to create a better study environment for low-income adolescents in the metropolitan area, began through an in-house social contribution idea contest and has completed 23 branches to date.
