Nextlust Unveils 'MyStarPick', a Voting Platform Free from Manipulation Concerns

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Amidst the high viewership ratings of various competition programs, an audition platform that uses blockchain technology to fundamentally prevent the possibility of tampering with voting records is gaining attention.

NextTrust announced on the 28th that it demonstrated its technological capability by launching the audition platform 'MyStarPick' in the second half of this year, attracting numerous auditions in a short period and securely storing over 400,000 voting records.

Voting for various auditions, ranging from major domestic selection contests such as Mister International and Miss Grand Korea to fitness competitions, model contests, and kids' competitions, has been conducted on MyStarPick. NextTrust, the developer of MyStarPick, completed the registration of related technology patents in Korea with the support of the Seoul Intellectual Property Center and has also filed for patents in China. MyStarPick plans to provide integration features with blockchain wallets embedded in KakaoTalk in the future.

Lee Min-jae, CEO of NextTrust, explained, "Since candidates prefer competitions where they can trust the results, the introduction of a reliable voting system enhances the competitiveness of candidates participating in auditions, leading to the success of the competition," adding, "In case of disputes over unfairness, the competition organizers can compare the records stored on MyStarPick and the blockchain to prove that there has been no manipulation of the votes."
