Daegu Facilities Corporation Donates 520,000 Won in 'Lucky Coins' to 2·28 Memorial Central Park

Daegu Facilities Corporation's urban park on the 23rd delivered the funds collected in the Lucky Coin Donation Box located in the 2·28 Memorial Central Park to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea. /Daegu City

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Daegu Facilities Corporation announced on the 24th that it has delivered 524,420 won collected in the 'Lucky Coin' donation box at the 2·28 Memorial Central Park to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea.

Since 2018, Daegu Facilities Corporation's urban parks have been operating the Lucky Coin donation box at the Lucky Fountain in the 2·28 Memorial Central Park, collecting coins containing citizens' wishes.

The Lucky Coin donation box was started to deliver warm hearts to socially marginalized groups in the local community at the end of the year and New Year's. It operates by citizens voluntarily throwing coins into the donation box while making wishes.

Kim Ho-kyung, Chairman of Daegu Facilities Corporation, said, "I hope the funds collected through the voluntary participation of citizens during the difficult times of COVID-19 will be used for good causes in the local community," and added, "We will continue to strive to operate citizen participation programs that can realize social value."
