Noru Paint Launches Marketing Campaign for '2021 Color of the Year' Selected by US Pantone

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Noroo Paint's strategic partner, the US-based global color specialist company PANTONE, has selected and announced 'Ultimate Gray (PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray)' and 'Illuminating (PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating)' as the 'Colors of the Year 2021.'

By selecting two colors as the 'Colors of the Year 2021,' they emphasized how different elements complement each other. The Pantone Color Institute selects the Color of the Year annually, reflecting trends and the spirit of the times. This year, especially, they chose Illuminating and Ultimate Gray with a heartfelt wish to quickly overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021 Pantone Colors of the Year combine the fundamental strength of gray with the brightness and hopeful message of yellow. They convey a message of strength, courage, and hope to endure and wait as we approach the new year 2021. The combination of the two colors offers comfort to the weary hearts of humanity due to the COVID-19 pandemic, delivering positive energy through the solidity of gray and the warmth and hope of yellow.

The 2021 Pantone Colors of the Year are expected to be used vibrantly across all design fields, and various effects can be achieved by adjusting the balance between the two colors. Especially, using gray as a base and yellow as an accent creates a strong focal point even if the yellow area is very small.

Noroo Paint's official Pantone Paint SNS is recruiting participants for the 2021 Pantone Colors of the Year Experience Group. This event, held only once a year, offers a great opportunity to be the first to experience the Pantone Paint Colors of the Year. This year, in particular, it was prepared to bring joy to consumers who have become interested in home interiors as staying at home became a trend due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

The event runs until the 31st, and 30 selected participants will receive the Colors of the Year paint along with all necessary painting tools.

Through collaboration with Pantone, Noroo Paint is the only company in Korea to realize 2,600 Pantone colors as premium paints. The 2021 Colors of the Year, Ultimate Gray and Illuminating, can also be custom ordered at Pantone Paint specialty stores nationwide and online malls.
