Jeonnam National University Professor Receives Prime Minister's Commendation at Agricultural and Food Science and Technology Awards

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Professor Eun Jong-bang of Chonnam National University received the Prime Minister's Commendation for developing excellent practical technology in the agri-food sector.

According to Chonnam National University on the 22nd, Professor Eun (Department of Food Engineering, Division of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology) was recognized for his contribution to the development of agri-food science through research on processing and storage of local agricultural products at the '23rd Agricultural, Forestry and Livestock Food Science and Technology Awards' held at the Korea Institute of Planning and Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on the 17th, receiving the Prime Minister's Commendation along with a gold medal as a prize.

The Agricultural, Forestry and Livestock Food Science and Technology Award is given to researchers who have developed excellent practical technologies in agriculture, forestry, livestock, and food industries, and contributed to increasing farmers' income and improving the national food environment by disseminating them in the field.

Professor Eun said, "I received this great award thanks to the help of many students and fellow professors who quietly produced experimental results in the laboratory," and added, "I will continue to conduct research for the development of the agri-food sector."
