Sangju City Operates 'Respiratory Dedicated Clinic' with 'Advance Reservation System' at Public Health Center Parking Lot

Sangju City Operates 'Respiratory Dedicated Clinic' with 'Advance Reservation System' at Public Health Center Parking Lot 'Respiratory Dedicated Clinic' installed in the parking lot of Sangju City Health Center.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Sangju City in Gyeongbuk announced on the 22nd that it will establish and operate a dedicated respiratory clinic starting from the 23rd in preparation for the simultaneous outbreak of colds and flu amid the resurgence of COVID-19.

The dedicated respiratory clinic, installed in the parking lot of Sangju Public Health Center, consists of a reception room, examination room, specimen collection room, and X-ray room. The spaces are separated to prevent contact between medical staff and patients, and it is equipped with negative pressure facilities and droplet barrier systems.

One doctor, two nursing staff, and one disinfection staff member have been assigned to the dedicated respiratory clinic. The medical staff examine respiratory and fever patients in the area and also prescribe medication. If COVID-19 infection is suspected during the examination process, an immediate diagnostic test is conducted at the adjacent screening clinic.

To prevent cross-infection among patients, those with symptoms such as colds must make an appointment by phone before receiving treatment. The clinic hours are from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM on weekdays.

Lee In-su, director of Sangju Public Health Center, stated, "With the operation of the dedicated respiratory clinic, patients with fever and respiratory symptoms can receive treatment with peace of mind, and screening for suspected COVID-19 cases can be conducted more actively."
