[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 22nd that it donated the ‘Love Home Run · Love Steal Campaign Fund’ to the NC Dinos, who won the 2020 KBO League regular season and Korean Series championships.
This fund was accumulated by BNK Gyeongnam Bank designating a separate outfield fence section (BNK Gyeongnam Bank Home Run Zone) at Changwon NC Park during the 2020 KBO League regular season. Whenever an NC Dinos player hit a home run or successfully stole a base in this zone, 500,000 KRW and 100,000 KRW respectively were added to the fund.
On the 16th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank held a ‘Honorary Branch Manager Appointment Ceremony’ and an ‘Untact Fan Meeting Event with NC Dinos.’ During this event, players Park Min-woo and Koo Chang-mo, who visited the head office sales department, received the ‘Love Home Run · Love Steal Campaign Fund Donation Certificate.’
The total fund amounted to 10.7 million KRW, of which 5.5 million KRW raised through the Love Home Run will be distributed to little league baseball teams in the Gyeongnam region, and 5.2 million KRW raised through the Love Steal will be donated to organizations supporting rehabilitation for people with disabilities.
During the KBO League regular season, NC Dinos players hit a total of 11 Love Home Runs in the Gyeongnam Bank Home Run Zone and successfully stole 52 bases as Love Steals. Meanwhile, the Love Home Run · Love Steal campaign, conducted by Gyeongnam Bank since 2013 for eight years, is a donation activity combining corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sports marketing. Up to this year, a total of approximately 110 million KRW has been supported to local baseball hopefuls and people with disabilities.
