[Asia Economy Reporter Sung Ki-ho] KOTRA is focusing on targeting K-beauty consumers in Vladivostok, Russia. KOTRA opened a K-beauty online exhibition hall in Russian and introduced new products using influencers. On the 19th, it also held a promotional event at the largest shopping center in the area.
According to KOTRA on the 22nd, they first created an online exhibition space for K-beauty, introducing 124 products from 22 small and medium-sized Korean companies to Russian cosmetics distributors and consumers. Additionally, they provided and demonstrated K-beauty products to influencers active in the Russian Far East to promote the excellence of Korean products.
On the 19th, to convert online popularity into sales performance, a promotional event titled "K-Beauty in Vladivostok" was held at the largest complex shopping center in Vladivostok. The event was hosted by KOTRA and the Gangwon Economic Promotion Agency and supported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Vladivostok. Fourteen participating companies will officially enter specialized stores in the shopping center following the promotion and will meet Russian consumers for two months.
Ha Seung-beom, head of the KOTRA Vladivostok Trade Center, emphasized, "Russia is the 6th largest export market for Korean cosmetics, and despite COVID-19, exports increased by 8.3% compared to the same period last year until October," adding, "In the Russian Far East, the importance of online marketing is growing alongside offline stores."
