Sancheong-gun Selects 11 Outstanding Proposals for 2020 County Administration Innovation

Improving Residents' Quality of Life Through Ideas from Citizens and Public Officials

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 22nd that it has finally selected 11 outstanding proposals through the ‘2020 National and Public Officials Military Administration Innovation Idea Contest.’

This contest was prepared to discover fresh and innovative ideas from the public and public officials and reflect them in military policies to improve the quality of life of local residents.

The contest covered all fields for regional development, including policies or projects suitable for the direction of Sancheong military administration.

A total of 412 proposals were received: 128 public official ideas submitted through quarterly contests, 97 public ideas submitted through the national idea contest, and 187 proposals received through the National Sinmungo (People’s Petition System).

The county selected 11 outstanding proposers after two rounds of evaluation. Outstanding proposers, including the top submitter, will be awarded a total prize of 2 million KRW.

The 11 selected outstanding proposals include displaying contact information of the person in charge on outdoor advertising designated bulletin boards, notifying vehicle control areas during heavy rain warnings, providing information on businesses accepting Sancheong Love Gift Certificates on the county website, and implementing an automatic pre-notification text message service for various reports related to construction machinery (regular inspections, license aptitude tests, safety education, etc.).

A county official said, “Even small ideas can become excellent policies that change the region if they are concretized and refined through the thoughts of many people,” and added, “The selected ideas will be implemented from next year reflecting the final review opinions of the relevant departments, and we hope for active participation in next year’s contest as well.”
