Noroo Paint Brings New Wave to Lighting Interior Market with Self-Painting

Collaboration with Lighting Brand Lumir, Complete Your Own Curve Lamp with Direct Painting

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Noroo Paint announced that it will unveil the 'Pantone Paint X Lumir Curve Lamp' lighting, created in collaboration with the lighting brand 'Lumir,' on the crowdfunding platform 'Wadiz' from the 21st of this month until January 6th of next year.

Amid the prolonged stay-at-home trend caused by the COVID-19 pandemic this year, this product was planned as a new interior item for people who have to remain indoors.

Unlike online shopping malls where payment is made and delivery is immediate, this funding is conducted as a group purchase method where producers directly introduce products not yet released to the world and receive funding during a set period.

Targeting mainly the MZ generation with distinct personal tastes, this product consists of a total of six types and offers eight colors including Navy, Blue, Deep Green, Emerald, Silver Beige, Yellow, Pink, and Brown, allowing customers to choose their preferred color and decorate according to their style. The 'Lumir Curve Lamp Set (main body, smart bulb, socket)' and Pantone Paint painting kit (wood & metal paint, foam brush, alcohol swabs) are designed so that even beginners can easily paint.

The smart bulb, the core of the lamp, attaches simply to the main body with magnets, requiring no assembly. Through a smartphone linked with an app, users can turn the light on and off, set timers to turn the light on at desired times, and adjust brightness and color to suit various situations such as reading or sleeping.

The colors were selected by NSDS (Noroo Seoul Color Studio), Noroo Paint’s color consulting research institute. The colors were chosen to serve as interior accents while harmonizing well with surrounding interiors, and were carefully selected considering the difference in illumination when the light is on or off. The curve lamp, completed with colors unseen in existing lighting, is small but eye-catching, making it a focal point in any space.

'Pantone Paint Wood & Metal' has superior adhesion compared to general water-based paints, excellent scratch resistance, and water resistance, making it suitable for painting metal accessories. It contains natural oils and has received eco-friendly certification, ensuring safe use.

This product is also suitable as a color interior accessory even when the light is off, and can be used like a memo board or photo frame using magnets. It can also serve as a holder for accessories or glasses, and when hung on a wall cable, it can function as a wall lamp. People working from home in a home office can place it on either side of their desk and use it in any direction.

To celebrate the launch of this collaboration product, Noroo Paint is running an event where all customers who apply for sales notifications and participate in the funding will receive a 2021 mini calendar and decorative stickers made to perfectly fit the curve lamp. The actual product can be seen and experienced at 'Space Wadiz' located in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. The period is about three weeks, from the 22nd of this month to January 10th of next year.

Existing lighting brands, due to the nature of manufacturing, had to produce lamps in safe colors considering inventory and sales volume, but through this collaboration, it is possible to present unique and stylish colors, which is expected to stimulate customers’ desire to own the product, according to both companies.
