KCCI "Welcomes Next Year's Economic Policy Direction and Measures for Businesses"

[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) welcomed the strengthening of measures for businesses in the '2021 Economic Policy Direction' announced by the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 17th, while emphasizing the need to review supplementary measures.

In a statement released that day, KCCI said, "In the prolonged situation of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) crisis, we welcome the maintenance of an expansionary fiscal stance, continued support for employment retention subsidies, expanded support for returning companies, and the revision of the Sandbox 5 Acts, which are measures strengthened for businesses."

It added, "We hope that next year's economic policy direction will be realized as actual policies to invigorate domestic industries and markets," and "We expect that the overall legal system will be reorganized in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution era to establish a foundation to lead future industries."

Furthermore, it urged, "We also hope that supplementary measures will be reviewed together to reduce the confusion and difficulties our companies may face due to the introduction of corporate burden bills."
