[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) announced on the 16th that it donated 18,750 briquettes to Seoul Yeontan Bank in Nowon-gu, Seoul, to help neighbors in need.
These briquettes will be distributed at 150 briquettes per household to 120 households in need, including 80 households (about 130 people) in Nowon-gu, Seoul, and 40 households (about 70 people) in Busanjin-gu, Busan.
Heo Gi-bok, CEO of Bapsang Community Briquette Bank, said, "Residents of hillside villages often rely entirely on briquette donations due to the burden of heating costs in winter," adding, "We sincerely thank Grand Korea Leisure for donating briquettes to help neighbors in need in Seoul and Busan."
Lee Hyung-ho, Head of Innovation Management at GKL, said, "As a public enterprise, we will continue to do our best to embrace marginalized neighbors and realize social value."
