BNK Gyeongnam Bank Receives Gyeongsangnam-do Governor's Commendation for COVID-19 Overcoming Efforts

Recognized for Active Participation and Support in Post-Corona Assistance for Low-Income Groups

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 15th that it received the ‘Gyeongsangnam-do Governor’s Commendation’ for its contribution to overcoming the COVID-19 crisis.

It was explained that the bank was recognized for its active participation and support in the COVID-19 overcoming sharing relay and post-COVID support for low-income groups. When Changwon City launched the COVID-19 overcoming sharing relay in March, Gyeongnam Bank donated Changwon Love Gift Certificates (Nubijeon) worth 50 million KRW to support 1,666 vulnerable and low-income households in the area. In July, the bank provided traditional market Onnuri gift certificates worth 42.2 million KRW to 844 vulnerable households as part of post-COVID support for low-income groups.

The Gyeongsangnam-do Governor’s Commendation awarded to Gyeongnam Bank was originally scheduled to be presented at the ‘COVID-19 Response Meritorious Private Organization Awards Ceremony,’ but it was canceled due to the recent resurgence of COVID-19 and was instead delivered through Changwon City. Accordingly, at the COVID-19 Response Meritorious Private Organization Commendation Presentation Ceremony held at Changwon City Hall, Lim Jae-moon, branch manager of the Changwon City Hall branch, received the Gyeongsangnam-do Governor’s Commendation from Park Ju-ya, Director of the Welfare, Women and Health Bureau.
