[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] 'Gamseong Camping' Cha Tae-hyun expressed his affection for his son and wife.
On the 11th, the JTBC variety show 'Gamseong Camping' aired the second day of camping with Cha Tae-hyun.
When the members were all surprised by Cha Tae-hyun's story of meeting his first love wife in his second year of high school and marrying her at 31, Cha Tae-hyun confessed that the pure-hearted image is difficult and said, "It's too much of a burden."
Ahn Young-mi encouraged Cha Tae-hyun by saying, "What’s even more amazing is that he said, 'I love my chubby wife.' He said he can love her even if she doesn’t brush her teeth on an empty stomach." In response, Cha Tae-hyun said, "No, I don’t like that."
Regarding the story that Cha Tae-hyun carries his wife's letter in his wallet, he said, "It was a letter she wrote out of pity. When I was suffering from panic disorder, my wife helped me a lot. So it was comforting, and I carried it around. But I didn’t look at the letter every day," and shyly added, "It really feels like being imprisoned."
Cha Tae-hyun shared an episode where he stopped filming and went to Jeju Island after his wife gave him a breakup notice. He said, "If I hadn’t gone then, it would have been over. I had to go and apologize no matter what. I said I had housework and went to Jeju Island."
About the reason for their breakup at the time, Cha Tae-hyun said, "We had been dating since high school and got married, deciding to marry at thirty. But 'My Sassy Girl' did well and kept coming down. Whenever I tried to get married, something kept going wrong. I wished to have a hit project, but it didn’t happen. So I kept postponing it."
Regarding why he frequently appears on variety shows, he said, "'1 Night 2 Days' was the only one I did. It was when my son Su-chan was young, and I thought it would be good if he was popular only until high school."
