Recognized for Enhancing Customer Convenience in Mobile Banking Services in the Banking Sector

BNK Financial Group Busan Bank and Gyeongnam Bank Win Grand Prize at 'Smart App Award 2020'


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] BNK Financial Group announced on the 11th that the mobile banking services of Busan Bank and Gyeongnam Bank received the Grand Prize in the banking category at the ‘Smart App Awards 2020’.


Hosted by the Korea Internet Professionals Association, the ‘Smart App Awards’ is the most prestigious domestic awards ceremony that selects the most innovative and excellent apps among currently operating mobile apps.


Busan Bank, which won the grand prize for two consecutive years following last year, was highly recognized for enhancing customer convenience through services such as issuing a total of 25 types of documents including deposit balance certificates and financial transaction confirmations via mobile for the first time in the financial sector, and the ‘Curation Service’ that guides new app services through push messages.


In addition, Busan Bank received the grand prize in the financial linkage service sector of the financial field with the ‘BNK Financial Class’ app, which enables real-time live video financial education nationwide for elementary, middle, and high schools, regional children’s centers, and senior support centers regardless of location.


Gyeongnam Bank achieved good results by strengthening convenience and accessibility through the full banking service that allows all financial transactions in one app, implementation of the latest security technologies reflecting customer opinions and usage patterns during the full revamp of mobile banking in March, and customer-centered usability improvements.


A BNK Financial Group official said, “We are very pleased that BNK’s efforts for digital financial innovation have led to good results,” and added, “We will build a safe and convenient digital financial environment centered on customers and continue to provide differentiated financial services unique to BNK.”
