Geumcheon-gu Hosts 'Youth Community Exchange Meeting'

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will hold a networking event called ‘Mo-Doo-it-Da’ for participants of the youth community support project ‘Do-it’ at 3 p.m. on the 13th at Cheongchun Building, Geumcheon-gu’s youth activity space.

This event was prepared by the youth organization Kkumjirak Network, which operates Cheongchun Building on a consignment basis, to encourage young people who have been carrying out various activities centered on the local community despite the COVID-19 situation and to share their activities with each other.

The networking event will be held live through the Cheongchun Building YouTube channel in consideration of the COVID-19 situation. Starting with an introduction to the Do-it project by a youth host, there will be opportunities to share the achievements of the activities in various forms such as ‘music performances,’ ‘video screenings,’ and ‘publication commemorations.’

In addition, participatory events such as quizzes and bingo will be held for all young people active in the Geumcheon-gu living area. Participants can join the events through real-time comments on YouTube.

The ‘Do-it’ community is one of the representative youth activity support projects of Cheongchun Building and has contributed to revitalizing youth activities in the region by receiving much interest and support from many young people every year.

This year, a total of 30 teams and 145 young people participated, continuing various activities and challenges based on fresh ideas and passionate enthusiasm.

Mayor Yu Seong-hoon said, “I hope that many young people who have not been able to meet due to the unprecedented long pandemic will have a warm time communicating and comforting each other’s hearts through the networking event,” and added, “We will continue to encourage various activities and challenges of young people and spare no support so that they can build safe relationships and grow.”
