[Public Notice+] Enbionia Decides to Acquire Membrane Technology Specialist Company SepraTec

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Enbionia announced on the 9th through a public disclosure that it has decided to invest 1 billion KRW in a paid-in capital increase in Septratec, a membrane specialist company.

Through this paid-in capital increase, Enbionia will acquire approximately 55% of Septratec's shares, securing the status of the largest shareholder. The company stated that the acquisition aims to enter the membrane market following the filter market and to create synergy with existing businesses.

Founded in 2006, Septratec is a company that manufactures membranes, membrane modules, and membrane manufacturing equipment, as well as separation membrane processes, systems, and testing devices. Septratec's membranes are films that selectively allow specific components to pass through, enabling the separation of mixtures.

Septratec's core technologies include pervaporation membrane technology, gas separation membrane technology, and membrane contactor membrane technology. These are applied in various industries such as biogas, petrochemicals, ultrapure water production for semiconductors, seawater desalination, environmental (ultrafine dust reduction) technology, and hydrogen vehicle parts.

A Septratec official stated, "We are a company with global-level technology, providing membrane manufacturing and module systems not only to domestic large corporations and Saudi Arabia's Aramco but also to various overseas locations including the UK, Italy, Egypt, and Japan. We have decided to cooperate with Enbionia to enter the global market."

An Enbionia official said, "Septratec has recently received various cooperation and supply inquiries related to separation membranes from leading companies not only in Korea but also in China, Singapore, Germany, and Italy. We expect rapid growth next year, and it will show meaningful synergy with Enbionia, which is growing into an advanced composite materials company."
