[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Korea VR Festival, where you can experience virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), will be held at COEX in Seoul from the 10th to the 12th.

On the 8th, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced that it will hold Korea VR Festival 2020 (hereinafter ‘KVRF 2020’) under the theme "Extended Reality (XR), Into Our Daily Lives!" This is the fifth edition of the largest domestic event, consisting of various side events such as exhibitions, a global conference, online export consultations, and presentations of new XR products and services.

This year, considering social distancing due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the number of attendees at the venue will be minimized, and all events except the exhibition will be held online.

More than 140 domestic and international companies will participate, showcasing VR and AR content as well as VR and AR technologies, content, software, platforms, and devices fused with various industries such as manufacturing, medical, education, defense, and entertainment. For the first time in Korea, the actual exhibition hall will be filmed in a 360-degree 3D road view and exhibited on the KVRF 2020 website from the 17th to the 19th.
