Finding and Viewing North Korean Information Becomes Easier North Korea Information Portal Main Screen Renewal Image


The North Korea Information Portal, which comprehensively provides information related to North Korea such as the movements of Chairman Kim Jong-un and North Korean statistics, will be completely revamped.


The Ministry of Unification announced on the 7th, "We have integrated and adjusted the entire menu of the North Korea Information Portal and improved the screen layout for easier viewing, and it will be available from the 8th."


Through this revamp, it is evaluated that users can now easily search for North Korean information and conveniently find various related materials.


The screen menu has been adjusted in the order of 'North Korea Overview,' 'Trends,' 'Themes,' 'Specialized Materials,' and 'Maps,' with the latest North Korean trends placed prominently to enhance readability and user convenience.


Since the 4th of last month, the North Korea map service has also been improved and provided. The map service includes ▲automatic generation of trend views ▲addition of coordinate copy function ▲addition of area setting search function ▲expansion of thematic maps ▲design overhaul and speed improvements.


Additionally, in collaboration with the Korea International Trade Association, North Korean trade data (North Korean trade statistics, specialized reports, monthly briefs) have been added to the portal.


The Ministry of Unification stated, "We will continue to develop the North Korea Information Portal as a differentiated big data platform so that the public can use it more easily and conveniently, and will continuously improve services such as expanding the disclosure of North Korean information."


Meanwhile, this revamp was made by reflecting the opinions presented by the North Korea Information Portal Public Evaluation Group (20 members), formed in June, regarding the portal’s entire menu, design, and content.
