- GS Construction to Supply Sea View Terrace Houses through Songdo Xi Crystal Ocean Scheduled for December Sale
- First Sea View Terrace Houses in the Apartment Complex... Equipped with Abundant Facilities Including Community and Convenience Amenities
GS Construction is attracting attention from buyers by planning to supply terrace houses in ‘Songdo Xi Crystal Ocean,’ scheduled for sale in December. This complex stands out as the first in Korea to offer sea views from all types of terrace houses, which are built as individual buildings within the apartment complex.
As the third wave of COVID-19 began, masks became essential, and with ongoing recommendations to avoid going out, “safe living” has become a top priority in daily life. Moreover, with increased indoor living, homes with extra spaces such as terrace houses are expected to replace the popularity of minimalism, which had been the trend for some time.
Terrace houses provide a comfortable environment with excellent openness while offering private spaces, making them highly sought-after residential products, especially among actual residents, in the With Corona19 era.
Terrace houses built as detached homes within large apartment complexes of over 1,000 households are even more preferred by buyers. For example, ‘The H Honor Hills,’ launched in 2016, succeeded in sales with a competition rate of 67 to 1 for 8 general sale units, thanks to its advantage as the first detached building terrace house in a complex of over 1,000 households in Gangnam.
Detached terrace houses within large apartment complexes are rare, giving them high scarcity value. In addition to unrestricted use of apartment community and convenience facilities, they also offer the comfort of country houses, making them highly favored by buyers.
Furthermore, if the spacious home offers views of pristine nature, its value multiplies. Songdo Xi Crystal Ocean features a view-specialized layout that allows residents to enjoy the West Sea as if it were their own backyard, with permanent views guaranteed. The exterior design, inspired by wave shapes, harmonizes with the surrounding environment while providing a unique atmosphere. Also, it will be directly connected to the largest coastal promenade in Songdo, the Landmark City No. 1 Waterfront Park (planned), allowing residents to experience a truly special ocean life beyond mere views.
Meanwhile, architectural experts suggest that residential spaces with extra room, such as terrace houses, will become a housing trend, further increasing preference for the complex.
In fact, Alison Brooks, a British architect who founded Alison Brooks Architects in London, stated in an interview with a UK architecture, interior, and design web magazine that “there will be a ‘value shift’ in residential design after COVID-19,” adding, “People are ready to pay for spaces where they can enjoy fresh air and outdoor activities without going outside,” drawing attention.
Songdo Xi Crystal Ocean, located at A10BL, Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City, will be supplied with a total of 1,503 households, including 7 apartment buildings and 2 terrace house buildings, ranging from basement level 1 to 42 floors above ground. It will consist of medium to large units (84?205㎡), with terrace houses planned in sizes from 139 to 198T㎡. The complex is designed with the motif of luxury homes where sea and nature coexist, a common feature of world-renowned resorts.
A GS Construction official said, “To maximize the value of the location where the complex is built, we analyzed the sea view environment and comprehensively considered views and orientation to find the most suitable layout axis and reflected it in the design. Especially, terrace houses stand out as a strong advantage in line with the changing residential paradigm due to the resurgence of COVID-19, allowing residents to actively enjoy nature inside their homes without having to go out.”
Meanwhile, the customer lounge (sales office) for Songdo Xi Crystal Ocean is located at 209, 2nd floor, 169 Songdo-dong (SM1BL), Yeonsu-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City.
