On the 5th, Lee's eldest son, Lee Han-eol, posted on his father's Facebook, "Although the energy administered daily through the nasal tube is minimal, my father has been enduring by gritting his teeth for almost nine months. I believe this is thanks to everyone who worries about and supports him."
He continued, "For my father, who always enjoyed communicating, I read the messages left by all of you every time I visit him," adding, "If anyone wishes to write a letter, please leave it on the website's bulletin board (mailbox), and I will deliver it to him."
He also expressed, "I sincerely thank everyone who worries about and supports my father," and added, "Thank you."
Meanwhile, Lee Oi-su underwent surgery for stomach cancer in 2014. On March 22nd, he collapsed due to a cerebral hemorrhage and was taken to the intensive care unit after emergency surgery.
Since then, he has been receiving treatment at a rehabilitation hospital, but his recovery is reported to be slow.
