Yoon Hee-seok, spokesperson for the People Power Party, said in a statement that day, "The new Deputy Minister of Justice is also moving quickly. From now on, he is calling for fairness in the disciplinary committee while secretly communicating with Minister Choo's personnel behind the scenes," adding, "He is faithfully proving the reason he was appointed. Although he is taking a breather by postponing the disciplinary committee under the pretext of protecting the right to defense, this administration seems determined to carry out the 'removal of Yoon Seok-yeol.'"
Spokesperson Yoon sharpened his criticism, saying, "This is a crisis the administration brought upon itself. Do they think they can overcome this with unfair figures and abnormal methods?"
He also stated, "The century-long energy policy was overturned by a single word from a president with a five-year term. The power is shaking the Audit and Inspection Board's constitutionally guaranteed inspection rights, and the Minister of Justice is engaged in a legal battle with the Prosecutor General," adding, "I remember President Moon Jae-in's pledge to end divisive and conflict-ridden politics and build a country worthy of the name. There is little time left to fulfill that pledge. We urge a wise decision."
