Yoon Hee-seok, spokesperson for the People Power Party, said in a statement on the 5th, "Now, the higher-ups behind the 'manipulation of the economic evaluation of nuclear power plants' must be revealed."
He said, "(The issuance of arrest warrants for Ministry of Industry public officials) is a decision that thorough investigations must be conducted into this unprecedented act of national disgrace, and justice has been served," adding, "It is not just about investigating the organized destruction of evidence by public officials, but identifying who the higher-ups were that condoned and abetted this audacious crime."
Spokesperson Yoon pointed out, "This case originally started from President Moon Jae-in's question, 'When will the suspension of Wolseong Unit 1 be decided?'" and added, "The public wants to know why such an extreme measure was taken, and what exactly the 'Moon Jae-in nuclear phase-out policy' truly is."
