Gyeongsan-si Opens First 'Dahamkke Dolbom Center'... "Available to All Elementary Students" The study room of Gyeongsan-si Dahamkke Care Center Branch 1.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongsan City, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 4th that it opened the first 'Dahamtogether Care Center' on the 2nd floor of the Haerum Apartment shopping mall in Oksan-dong on the 1st and is recruiting children to use the facility.

The Dahamtogether Care Center is a facility that provides care services for elementary school students who need after-school care by utilizing idle spaces in the area to alleviate the childcare burden of parents of elementary school students.

The first Gyeongsan branch, operated by the Human Welfare Association, a social welfare corporation entrusted by the city, has an exclusive area of 134㎡ (40 pyeong) and a capacity of 20 children (separate temporary care available).

The center director, coordinator, and two care teachers operate special aptitude programs along with academic guidance through regular or temporary care. Any elementary school student in need of care can use the center.

Choi Young-jo, mayor of Gyeongsan City, said, "Regardless of income level, elementary school children in need of care from all social classes can receive seamless after-school care services," adding, "This will be especially helpful for dual-income couples in the area."
