Expansion Project of Changwon National Industrial Complex in Gyeongnam ... Securing 400 Million KRW for Development Costs


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that it has secured 400 million KRW in preliminary design costs out of a total of 9.5 billion KRW for the entrance road construction project of the Changwon National Industrial Complex expansion through the 2021 national subsidy project application for industrial complex access roads.


The city aims to revitalize the local economy and transform the 430,000㎡ Changwon National Industrial Complex expansion project into a smart industrial complex centered on advanced industries. Currently, consultations with related agencies have been completed, and approval for the implementation plan is pending.


The secured national subsidy will be used for the basic and detailed design service fees for the entrance road of the Changwon National Industrial Complex located at 791-9 Namji-dong, Seongsan-gu, Changwon City.


The entrance road construction includes plans for two new bridges and road expansion.


The construction is expected to be completed in 2023.


Kim Sang-woon, Director of the Urban Development Project Office, said, "We plan to minimize traffic inconvenience and do our best to prevent safety accidents through the construction of the entrance road," adding, "We expect this to serve as a stepping stone to provide optimal industrial facility sites and greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
