Suncheon-si Park Geum-ok, Head of Medical Management Team, Donates 3 Million Won Prize from Civil Service Award

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Park Geum-ok, head of the Pharmaceutical Management Team at Suncheon City Health Center, was selected as a recipient of the 24th Civil Service Volunteer Award hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and donated the entire prize money of 3 million won to the mask distribution campaign.

The Civil Service Volunteer Award is given to public officials who dedicate themselves to improving residents' convenience at civil service sites and serve as role models through sharing activities and good deeds. The award ceremony was held on the 20th of last month at the SBS Sangam-dong Open Hall, and recipients receive a plaque jointly signed by the Minister of the Interior and Safety and the SBS President, prize money, and special benefits such as a couple-inclusive training program.

Recipient Park Geum-ok was highly praised for quietly fulfilling her duties for 38 years and actively working to improve residents' welfare by providing medical and living services to medically vulnerable groups, including operating the "Running Happiness 24-Hour Love Room."

Team leader Park Geum-ok said, “I am pleased to donate the honorable civil service volunteer award prize money to the mask distribution campaign, hoping to provide even a small support to local residents struggling due to COVID-19.”
