[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Quarterback Asset Management announced on the 4th that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement (MOU) with Korea POS Securities for "Robo-advisor fund activation, content business cooperation, and joint platform development."
According to the agreement, both companies will collaborate on △joint promotions to expand sales of funds, pension products, and IRPs △post-management services such as webinars for customers △production and utilization of content using investment information, as well as various marketing activities to promote funds.
Quarterback Asset Management is a leading domestic robo-advisor operator, providing fund and robo-advisor advisory services through FOSS, operated by Korea POS Securities. It was the first to pass the robo-advisor testbed hosted by the Financial Services Commission and offers stable performance along with diverse investment content.
Quarterback has launched and is managing the country's first robo-advisor-based public offering fund, the "Kiwoom Quarterback Global EMP Robo-advisor 3 types (Equity, Equity Mixed, Bond Mixed)" through POS Securities. Investing through Korea POS Securities, which operates the only S-Class in Korea, can save investment costs. The S-Class general fund is also available for pension savings and IRP (Individual Retirement Pension). Pension savings and IRP offer tax deduction benefits during year-end tax settlements.
Through this business agreement, the Quarterback app and Korea POS Securities' FOSS app plan to pursue platform linkage. The Quarterback app is an asset management specialized app that provides customers with useful information through various financial content as well as non-face-to-face discretionary services. With this platform linkage, investors are expected to use the financial content of the Quarterback app and the fund investment services of the FOSS app more conveniently.
Cho Hong-rae, CEO of Quarterback Asset Management, said, "Even in the uncertain market earlier this year, robo-advisors recorded stable and steady performance," adding, "Through this business agreement, we hope many investors seeking steady investment opportunities in an uncertain market environment will enjoy the product services of Quarterback and Korea POS Securities more easily and conveniently."
