Assemblyman Lee Hyung-seok Secures Additional 1 Billion Won in Special Local Tax from Ministry of the Interior and Safety

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Lee Hyung-seok, a member of the National Assembly (Democratic Party of Korea·Gwangju Buk-gu Eul), announced on the 4th that he has secured an additional 1 billion KRW in special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The newly secured special grant budget includes 700 million KRW for the project to build the ‘Buk-gu Sinyong Complex Public Library,’ which Lee Hyung-seok pledged to residents during the 21st general election, and 300 million KRW for the ‘Yeongsangang Riverside Sports Field Life Sports Facility Development’ project.

The Sinyong Complex Public Library is a project aimed at securing cultural infrastructure lacking in the Buk-gu area. Once completed in 2022, it is expected to be a library equipped with various cultural facilities, significantly enhancing residents' convenience and cultural sensibility.

The Yeongsangang Riverside Sports Field Life Sports Facility Development project is intended to expand sports infrastructure in Buk-gu, where sports facilities are severely lacking. It will be established on the Yeongsangang riverside embankment and is expected to greatly contribute to residents' leisure and health promotion.

Assemblyman Lee Hyung-seok said, “The focus was on securing project funds to expand convenience facilities to improve the quality of life for residents of Gwangju Buk-gu,” adding, “As the National Assembly member for Gwangju Buk-gu Eul, I will do my best to solve local issues for the residents.”
