According to Samsung Electronics, the number of executives promoted in the SW field this year reached 21, marking the highest in the past five years. This is interpreted as an expansion of promotions for outstanding personnel to secure future core growth engines centered on software such as artificial intelligence (AI).

Yoon Jang-hyun, Vice President and Head of the Wireless Business Division SW Platform Team, is a software development expert who oversees wireless SW development, develops SW platforms, and leads the enhancement of smartphone technology competitiveness and consumer experience through advanced user interface (UI) improvements.

Lee Jong-yeol, Vice President and Head of the Memory Business Division SW Development Team, is evaluated to have enhanced the competitiveness of solution products such as solid-state drives (SSD) and universal flash storage (UFS) based on expertise in firmware SW for storage and understanding of algorithms.

Kim Jeong-sik, Executive Director and Head of the Wireless Business Division Strategic Product SW PL Group, is a wireless SW development expert who was responsible for SW development of products such as Galaxy S20, Note20, Z Flip, and Z Fold2, achieving results that strengthened the competitiveness of flagship smartphones. Kim Kang-tae, Executive Director and Head of Samsung Research SE Team, is an SW development and quality expert who improved company-wide SW code review and management processes and developed automated code review tools, enhancing SW development competitiveness.

Kim Yong-jae, Senior Advisor (Executive Director level) and Head of the VD Business Division SW Development Group, is an SW development expert from Google and Microsoft who led product differentiation by enhancing TV SW technology through smart TV SW development.

Jung Seo-hyung, Senior Advisor (Executive Director level) and Head of the Network Business Division Core SW Development Group, is an SW architecture design expert who led the development of network virtualization technology, significantly contributing to securing next-generation communication technologies.
