[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Functional fabric fashion company Hwaseon Tech announced on the 4th that it has launched the country’s first skincare fashion mask using collagen yarn, called the ‘Colskin Mask.’
The Colskin Mask comes in 6 solid colors and 6 patterned designs, using genuine collagen yarn patented in Taiwan, which does not cause skin troubles even after long-term wear.
Collagen fabric is a specially manufactured functional fabric that applies low-molecular collagen peptides extracted from fish scales to the yarn. Even after dozens of washes, the collagen component does not wash away, and the collagen function remains intact on the skin contact surface. It also features a silky soft texture, excellent moisturizing, antibacterial, deodorizing (odor removal), and UV protection effects.
In addition to collagen’s unique skin-friendly functions, its excellent antibacterial properties prevent the growth of bacteria that adversely affect the skin. It is the first mask in Korea to receive the skin irritation ISO 10993-10 certification.
A Hwaseon Tech official explained, “Unlike general synthetic fiber masks sold on the market, the skin irritation level is below the standard, and its excellent effects on skin beauty have been recognized, leading to the ISO certification.”
Furthermore, due to the characteristics of collagen fabric, the Colskin Mask features clear and vivid color expression, and the patterned collection line is characterized by elegant designs. The fashion collection line was released in Classic, Herringbone, Houndstooth, Westwood, Green Tartan, and Red Tartan.
