[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Gwangju University LINC+ Project Group announced on the 4th that Ko Chae-young (Department of Convergence Software, 4th year), a student in the IOT Convergence Service Development Track, received the Minister of Education Award, the grand prize, at the ‘LINC+ Social Customized Department Focused Video Content Contest’ conducted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.
This contest was promoted to encourage other students' participation and activate industry-academia cooperation by having students produce and share videos of industry-academia linked educational courses.
Among about 50 works submitted from universities focused on social customized departments under the LINC+ project, seven works including that of Gwangju University student Ko Chae-young were selected, and the award ceremony was held on the opening day of the ‘2020 Industry-Academia Cooperation EXPO’ at COEX, Seoul, on the 2nd.
Ko Chae-young, who submitted a video under the theme ‘I am a university student’ showcasing participation in the curriculum and achievements, said, “While producing the video content, I was able to look back on myself who participated in the LINC+ project program, achieved results, and grew.”
Kim Jeong-geun, head of the Gwangju University LINC+ Project Group, said, “I feel rewarded that our efforts to support participating students through the LINC+ project have led to this award,” and added, “We will do our best to operate programs where students can grow and be satisfied through the development of social customized curricula.”
Meanwhile, all award-winning works can be viewed at the Expo online exhibition hall until the 10th.
