Philosys Obtains Certification as Medical Device Manufacturer from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Philosis, an affiliate of Philosis Healthcare, announced on the 4th that it has obtained the Foreign Medical Device Manufacturer Certification (hereinafter referred to as Manufacturer Certification) from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

Through this Ministry of Health Manufacturer Certification, the registration of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) diagnostic kit ‘Gmate COVID-19,’ manufactured by Philosis and distributed by Philosis Healthcare, with the Ministry of Health has moved one step closer. Additionally, this has created an opportunity to further enhance overseas export capabilities.

A Philosis official stated, “Through this Manufacturer Certification, the excellence of the manufacturing facilities owned by the company has been recognized,” and added, “We will also complete the Ministry of Health product registration as soon as possible to have our product’s excellence acknowledged, which will in turn accelerate product registrations in other countries.”

A Philosis Healthcare official said, “With Philosis’s recent Ministry of Health Manufacturer Certification, the delivery of the 26.3 billion KRW supply contract with Japan, signed on September 17, is expected to commence soon,” and added, “We will deliver high-quality products in a timely manner and achieve sales growth through additional contracts and new businesses, becoming a continuously growing company.”
