Shinhan Card, 2-3 Months Interest-Free Installments at All Merchants

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 4th that it will offer interest-free installment services throughout December.

An interest-free installment event for 2 to 3 months will be held at all Shinhan Card merchants. When paying 50,000 KRW or more with a credit card (excluding corporate cards and Shinhan BC cards), the 2 to 3-month installment plan will be automatically applied.

Additionally, at department stores, online shopping, duty-free shops, academies, non-life insurance, and electronics stores (LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Hi-Mart, Electron Land, Daewoo Winia), interest-free installments for 2 to 6 months are available. At general hospitals, travel agencies (Hana Tour, Modu Tour, Redcap Tour), and tax payments, interest-free installments for 2 to 5 months are provided.

Amounts used at overseas merchants can also be converted to 2 to 3-month installments with interest-free service. This is expected to be a valuable benefit for overseas direct purchase shoppers during the year-end overseas direct purchase season.

A Shinhan Card official said, “We expect to somewhat reduce the burden on Shinhan Card customers during the year-end, a period of relatively high spending.”
