Korea University Final Exams Switched to Remote Format

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Korea University Seoul Campus, where COVID-19 cases have been continuously confirmed in on-campus clubs recently, has decided to switch all final exams to a fully remote format.


On the 3rd, Korea University announced, "Since last weekend, 19 students at our university have tested positive, and 61 are in self-quarantine," adding, "Due to the situation becoming serious and severe, we have no choice but to convert all final exams to a fully remote format."


Accordingly, the undergraduate and graduate final exams scheduled from the 8th to the 21st of this month will be replaced with assignments or conducted remotely.


Korea University explained, "If in-person exams are unavoidable for grade evaluation, they may be conducted only after obtaining consent from all enrolled students and reporting to the heads of affiliated institutions such as deans or directors."


The university added, "The Sejong Campus, where no confirmed cases have occurred, will decide separately on the final exam format."
