[Asia Economy Reporter Koh Hyung-kwang] Hudens (Chairman Roh Hak), a promising technology company in Gwangju, is leading the localization of dental medical device products and the development of a regional dental parts industry cluster.
Hudens, based in the Gwangju High-tech Industrial Complex, is gaining attention for dental medical devices such as resin, burs, endo files, handpieces, and for selling OCP-based dental bone graft materials and raw materials for orthopedic bone grafts. In August, Hudens succeeded in developing the world's first production technology for 4th generation artificial bone materials. Hudens completed production lines and clean rooms on a 2,000-pyeong factory site in the Advanced District 2 and has started product manufacturing.
With over 30 specialized personnel on site, Hudens has 8 researchers and 5 PhD-level experts focusing on new technology development. It ranked high in the '2019 2nd IP Startup Road Day' hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the Korea Invention Promotion Association, and was selected as a Global IP Star Company by the Korea Invention Promotion Association.
Last month, Hudens received the Presidential Citation at the 13th Medical Device Day event hosted and organized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association. The event was held to boost the pride of medical device professionals who have contributed to safety management and industrial development.
