[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actress Han Ji-min expressed strong trust in Nam Joo-hyuk.
Han Ji-min shared various stories about the movie 'Josee' (directed by Kim Jong-kwan) during an online video interview on the 3rd.
Han Ji-min and Nam Joo-hyuk worked together for the second time after the drama ‘When the Weather Is Fine’. Han Ji-min plays Josee, who lives in her own world, and Nam Joo-hyuk plays Young-seok, who enters Josee’s world.
On this day, Han Ji-min said, "'When the Weather Is Fine' left a deep impression on viewers, but Nam Joo-hyuk and I did not have many scenes together. I felt that if we met again, we could fill in those parts. We talked about how to create it differently together."
She continued, "There was some time to prepare for 'Josee' after finishing the drama 'Spring Night', and during that time, I had plenty of conversations with Nam Joo-hyuk, so it was very comfortable. During 'When the Weather Is Fine', I felt I had to lead on set, but in 'Josee', I rather relied on him. His presence itself was reassuring," sharing about the preparation process.
She added, "When entering the world of 'Josee', the only people I could talk to about the anxious and difficult points were Joo-hyuk and the director," recalling how much she relied on Nam Joo-hyuk.
Nam Joo-hyuk attracted attention when he suddenly burst into tears during the 'Josee' production briefing held online on November 17.
After the trailer was released, Nam Joo-hyuk was caught on camera overwhelmed with emotion and started crying. Although he seemed to calm down shortly after, Han Ji-min sitting next to him also shed tears, causing the briefing to be temporarily paused. The two wiped their tears and composed themselves.
Han Ji-min recalled, "Nam Joo-hyuk apologized right after it ended, saying 'I'm sorry.' I think he apologized because he knew I tend to cry when someone else cries."
She added, "I had watched the 'Josee' footage beforehand, but Nam Joo-hyuk saw it for the first time there, so he was more overwhelmed. His eyes were glistening while watching the footage," and said, "The love and relationship between the two, and the many lingering feelings of Josee reminded me of that moment."
'Josee' is a movie depicting the most radiant moments shared by Josee (played by Han Ji-min) and Young-seok (played by Nam Joo-hyuk), whose unforgettable names were made from the day they first met. The film is directed by Kim Jong-kwan, who also directed 'Worst Woman' and 'The Table'. It will be released on December 10.
