[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The KOSPI showed a firm rise in the afternoon, setting a new all-time high once again. The KOSDAQ index is steadily maintaining the 900-point level during the session.


Starting at 2,686.38, up 10.48 points (0.39%) from the previous trading day on the 3rd, the KOSPI showed mixed trends early in the session but turned upward around 10:20 a.m. and has maintained a firm rise since. In the afternoon, it climbed to 2,691.29 around 12:20 p.m., breaking the all-time high once again. As of 1:20 p.m., it is recording 2,677.94, up 2.04 points (0.08%) from the previous trading day.


By trading participants, individual investors are leading the index rise with net purchases of 372 billion KRW. On the other hand, institutional and foreign investors are net sellers, offloading 328.6 billion KRW and 30.5 billion KRW respectively, realizing profits.


Among the top market capitalization stocks, Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors, Celltrion, and SK Hynix are rising, while Samsung SDI, LG Household & Health Care, and LG Chem are declining.


The KOSDAQ index is also slightly up, maintaining the 900-point level. Starting at 901.61, up 2.27 points (0.25%) from the previous trading day, the KOSDAQ index has consistently maintained a rise of around 0.5% during the session, holding the 900-point level. As of 1:20 p.m., it is recording 905.14, up 5.80 points (0.64%) from the previous trading day.


By trading participants, similar to the KOSPI, individual investors are net buyers with 154.2 billion KRW. Meanwhile, institutional and foreign investors are net sellers with 67.2 billion KRW and 49.5 billion KRW respectively.


Among the top market capitalization stocks, Celltrion Pharm is showing a sharp rise, increasing more than 10%, while Pearl Abyss, Studio Dragon, and Celltrion Healthcare are also rising. Conversely, KMV, Alteogen, and SK Materials are declining.
