Seocho-gu Holds '2021 College Entrance Regular Admission Strategy Briefing'


[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu is significantly easing the college entrance exam concerns of high school seniors and their parents, who are experiencing an unprecedentedly difficult year due to COVID-19, by preparing the all-time best ‘THE Prime, 2021 College Entrance Regular Admission Strategy Briefing Session’.


Seocho-gu (Mayor Eunhee Jo) will hold THE Prime, 2021 College Entrance Regular Admission Strategy Briefing Session and a visiting neighborhood 1:1 consulting session on the 5th for high school seniors who took the CSAT and their parents.


This briefing session will be conducted for about two hours with the ‘top domestic entrance exam education experts,’ analyzing the overall review of the college entrance exam held on the 3rd, the preliminary scoring results, and regular admission strategies by score range.


First, Seongho Lim, CEO of Jongno Academy, will explain in Part 1 ▲ Overall review of the 2021 CSAT ▲ Predicted passing scores based on preliminary scoring ▲ Analysis of score characteristics by CSAT subject areas.


Next, in Part 2, Munsung Jang, Director of Jongno Academic Development Institute, will provide tips on ▲ Analysis of regular admission application trends by score range for groups A, B, and C ▲ Urgent strategies such as whether to attend interviews.


This briefing session will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel ‘Seocho Hon Gong Project,’ and on-site attendance is also possible at Yangjae Library, where the broadcast takes place, under strict COVID-19 prevention guidelines.


On-site attendance for 30 high school seniors and their parents will be available on a first-come, first-served basis through the Seocho-gu Education Support Center website.


Customized 1:1 consulting will also be greatly expanded. From 2 p.m. on the day of the briefing session, visiting neighborhood 1:1 consulting will be held at four community service centers in Seocho-gu’s districts.


This is targeted at 320 Seocho-gu residents (80 per district) who make prior reservations, and the Bangbae Education Support Center along with professional entrance exam consultants will provide free customized counseling.


Applications are available from November 20 to December 3 on the Seocho-gu Education Support Center website.


After the briefing session, from December 8 until the day before the regular admission application deadline on January 9, 2021, customized 1:1 consulting will be provided at four Seocho-gu Education Support Center locations (Seocho, Bangbae, Banpo Jamwon, Yangjae Naegok) for 600 high school seniors in Seocho-gu, supporting their college entrance success until the end.


Also, those who present a participation certification shot from this online briefing session at the district education support centers will receive materials such as the CSAT preliminary scoring reference placement table free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.


Mayor Eunhee Jo said, “We will think more and provide practical support for high school seniors and parents who have had an especially difficult time,” adding, “I hope all examinees reap valuable results commensurate with their hard work.”
