Disaster Crisis Response Ability of Mapo Residents?

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yudonggyun) is conducting a 'Disaster Crisis Awareness Test' using QR codes for Mapo-gu residents until the 20th.

This disaster crisis awareness test is conducted to strengthen residents' awareness of disaster situations and their ability to respond to safety accidents in response to increasingly complex and diverse disaster situations.

The district allows residents to freely choose between two test types: COVID-19 or disaster crisis.

The test method involves accessing the test page via the QR code on promotional posters distributed at each neighborhood community center, apartment elevators, the Mapo-gu Office website, and SNS, and then taking the test using a PC or smartphone.

The main test contents for the COVID-19 awareness test include knowledge about how to respond to early symptoms of infection and infection prevention methods. The disaster crisis awareness test consists of response methods for each disaster situation such as ▲ typhoons and strong winds ▲ heavy snow and cold waves ▲ heavy rain and floods ▲ heat waves ▲ fires ▲ collapses and explosions ▲ electricity ▲ emergency treatment.

The test consists of 15 case-based questions for each category. After completing the test, residents can identify their lacking disaster response abilities and learn the correct response methods through test results that include explanations for each question.

In the future, the overall test results will be used as statistical data for Mapo-gu's safety education and safety experience programs.

Yudonggyun, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, "I hope this disaster crisis awareness test will be an opportunity for residents to reaffirm their knowledge about COVID-19 as well as response methods for other disaster situations," and added, "We ask for the interest and participation of all residents."
