The Koscom President Recommendation Committee conducted an open recruitment for the president position until the 9th of last month. At that time, a total of 11 candidates applied, including 10 internal candidates and 1 external candidate.
However, as a result of an additional open recruitment conducted by the Koscom President Recommendation Committee until the 19th of last month, former CEO Hong was appointed as the next president.
Former CEO Hong was in charge of the VAN (Value Added Network) business for payment settlements such as credit cards at NICE Information & Telecommunication, and is regarded as an expert in bonds and credit evaluation in the industry.
The Koscom President Recommendation Committee explained, "When evaluating presidential candidates, we comprehensively judged former CEO Hong as a candidate based on his qualifications and character as a top executive necessary for the company's development, management ability to respond to rapidly changing business environments, expertise in finance and IT, reformist vision presenting future prospects, international capabilities, and morality."
