[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Yaongi, the author of the webtoon 'True Beauty,' revealed that she is dating writer Jeon Seon-wook.
On the afternoon of the 2nd, Yaongi, a popular webtoon author with a total of 4 billion views worldwide, appeared on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block.'
The webtoon 'True Beauty' has ranked number one among Tuesday webtoons within just three weeks. It is currently translated into nine languages and is popular in over 100 countries.
Regarding her webtoon success, Yaongi said, "It was my first work, so I was lucky."
About her pen name, she said, "I wanted to be evaluated without prejudice regardless of gender."
Regarding the dating rumors, she pointed to 'Free Draw' author Jeon Seon-wook, saying, "I am with the person who ranks number one on Saturdays."
Yaongi explained, "At last year's Webtoonist Day event, another female author kept talking to me. I was very bothered at the time. That's when I realized, 'I like this person.'"
About dating someone in the same industry, she expressed affection, saying, "The great advantage is that we can work while dating."
