Non-Face-to-Face Graduation Ceremony Held Due to Social Distancing Measures Upgrade
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dobong-gu (Mayor Lee Dong-jin) held an online completion ceremony for the 'Peace Soccer Class' targeting elementary school students in grades 4 to 6.
In this children's peace soccer class, games were played without referees, players decided substitutions themselves, and rules that highlight values such as fair play and peace were applied to strengthen awareness of peace.
The four-week program, which started on November 7, was conducted at Dobong Changgol Sports Ground while strictly adhering to COVID-19 safety measures such as social distancing, mask-wearing, and temperature checks.
Due to the elevation to level 2 social distancing for COVID-19, the final fourth session was held in a non-face-to-face format.
Additionally, the district operated various beneficial and diverse programs in November, including ▲Children's Peace Class (Children Imagining Peace) ▲Children's Soccer Class (Learning Peace through Soccer) ▲Resident Peace Class (Embracing Peace in Dobong), aiming to enhance residents' understanding of the necessity of inter-Korean exchanges and values related to peace.
A district official stated, “We will continue to provide valuable lessons to improve residents' sensitivity to peace through various methods such as in-person and online education in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era.”
