The Best Course on the Korean Tour is "Songdo Jack Nicklaus"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyun-jun, Golf Specialist] "The best course on the Korean Tour."

Incheon Songdo Jack Nicklaus Golf Club (photo) has been selected as the KPGA Best Course for this season. On the 2nd, KPGA announced that "47.2% of the 159 participating players chose Jack Nicklaus." It was the venue for the Genesis Championship (total prize money 1.5 billion KRW), the largest prize money tournament in Korea, held last October. Kim Tae-hoon (35) secured a 2-stroke victory (6 under par, 282 strokes), which directly fueled his double crown as both the MVP and the money title winner.

The course hosted the PGA Tour Champions (Senior) events in 2010 and 2011, and in 2015, it was the venue for the Presidents Cup, an intercontinental golf competition between the United States and the International Team. It attracted even more spotlight as the first in Asia. Players praised the venue, saying, "The driving range and practice greens provide a perfect tournament environment, and the turf conditions are also top-notch," adding, "Everything is in place to support peak performance."

KPGA plans to award the 'Best Tournament Course Award' at the 2020 KPGA Genesis Awards Ceremony, to be held on the 15th at the Genesis Suji Exhibition Hall in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. The Ferrum East-West Course in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, where the Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Choi Kyung-ju Invitational was held in September, ranked second (20.8%), and the Valley and Seowon Courses at Seowon Valley in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, which hosted the season finale LG Signature Players Championship, took third place (15.3%).
