Seo Young-ok, CEO of Fine Technology Co., donated 10 million won to her alma mater, Pukyong National University.

Seo Young-ok, CEO of Fine Technology Co., Ltd. (age 65), donated 10 million won to her alma mater, Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-soo).
On the morning of the 1st, CEO Seo visited the president's office on the 3rd floor of the university headquarters at Pukyong National University and handed over the development fund to President Jang Young-soo, asking that it be used for the university's advancement.
She said, "Although everyone is having a hard time due to COVID-19, I wanted to give some strength to the youth who are facing various difficulties such as employment, so I decided to donate."
CEO Seo is a graduate of Pukyong National University’s Department of Chemical Engineering, class of 1975, and was elected as the first female president of the university’s general alumni association in 2015, serving as the 10th president of the Pukyong National University General Alumni Association.
Since donating 100 million won to Pukyong National University in 2016, she has donated 1 million won annually to her alma mater, supporting juniors with a total of 140 million won to date.
CEO Seo founded her company in 1987 and established the current Fine Technology Co., Ltd. in 1998. She pioneered the industrial special tape market and led the development of this field with world-class technology, receiving the 10 million dollar export tower award.
At the development fund donation ceremony that day, she said, "No matter how difficult the times are, if you endure positively and steadfastly, it will eventually pass. I hope young people will find strength. There is no shortcut in life, so don’t try to do well too quickly. Instead, face challenges head-on, try various things, and gradually move forward as youth."
Pukyong National University plans to use CEO Seo’s development fund for education and research support, as well as improving the educational environment for university development.
