Banyan Tree Group, which operates 47 hotels and resorts across 24 countries worldwide, has been successfully launching sales for 'Cassia Sokcho,' which it manages under consignment, since last month. As a premium residence, it is constructed by Hanwha Construction and developed by Korea Asset Trust, adding to its reliability.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 earlier this year, most famous resorts on the East Coast, such as Sokcho Hanwha Resort Seorak and Samcheok Sol Beach Resort, have had no vacancies during holidays or public holidays. Amid this atmosphere, Cassia Sokcho, with its various advantages, is attracting the full attention of investors in the Sokcho area.
Cassia Sokcho is the first complex in Korea to apply the 'Cassia' residence brand of the Banyan Tree Group. Located in Daepo-dong, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do, it is planned to be developed with a total floor area of 120,560㎡, a height of 99m, 2 basement floors to 26 above-ground floors, and a total of 717 units. The units range from 31 to 128㎡ in exclusive area, with types from A to S.
It plans to offer top-tier services and amenities from the global hotel & resort chain, enabling a high-class rest experience. One of its advantages is that all rooms offer ocean views, with a layout where the sea aligns directly with the bed, making it ideal for enjoying the ocean scenery. Each room is equipped with an indoor Hinoki pool and a balcony, allowing guests to relax their body and mind while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the East Sea.
The complex will also feature various auxiliary facilities. The infinity pool, perfect for enjoying the open ocean view, is complemented by a sandy beach, creating an exotic atmosphere. The rooftop on the upper floors, combining modern sensibility and sophisticated interior design, is optimized for experiencing the romance and leisure offered by the East Sea. High-end spa and sauna facilities using underground 1,000m mineral water, indoor pools, kids' pools, fitness centers, and restaurants will be located throughout the interior. A 400-seat banquet hall is planned for international conferences and business events, and a library lounge by the world-renowned art book publisher 'Assouline' is also scheduled to be established.
From facilities to design, it is a high-class residence with refined quality. Architect Kim Chan-jung, selected as one of the 20 next-generation architects, implemented an integrated design inspired by books, maximizing the sculptural beauty of the exterior. It is expected to captivate the tastes of the 'Young & Rich,' who have recently become the center of the real estate market.
The surrounding living environment is also highly rated. Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do, which embraces abundant natural environments such as the East Sea and Seoraksan Mountain, is a representative marine tourism city in Korea. It is close to leisure sports facilities such as surfing, yachting, Yeongnangho Country Club, Delfino Country Club, and Pine Ridge Country Club, making leisure activities convenient.
Accessibility has been greatly enhanced since the opening of the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway in 2017. When the Dongseo High-Speed Railway opens (scheduled for 2026), it will connect Seoul to Sokcho in about 70 minutes, further improving accessibility.
There are also various benefits exclusively available to Cassia Sokcho contract holders. For the first time in Korea, contract holders are enrolled in the 'Sanctuary Club.' When booking Banyan Tree, Angsana, Cassia, and Laguna hotels and resorts overseas within the Sanctuary Club network, discounts are provided. Discounts apply to the 'Best Available Rate,' and spa and restaurant fees within the hotels are also discounted. Golf facility fees are discounted at resorts in Phuket, Bintan, and Langkawi.
Another advantage is that accommodation vouchers can be used overseas through the exchange program (The Exchange Programme), which is available only to owners of Banyan Tree, Angsana, Cassia, and Laguna. Of the 30 days of annual usage rights, up to 15 days can be deposited at the exchange office and used when booking other hotels or resorts within the Banyan Tree Group participating in the exchange program.
Cassia Sokcho operates under an ownership system with individual registration. Contract holders can use the residence for 30 days a year (7 days during peak season, 7 days on weekends and public holidays, and 16 weekdays) by prior reservation at their preferred times. The remaining 335 days are managed by Banyan Tree Group under consignment, and profits are distributed.
Cassia Sokcho operates a VIP lounge by reservation in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu. Remaining units can be contracted on a first-come, first-served basis. Detailed consultations and visit information can be confirmed through the main contact number.
