[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu Police (Chief Moon Byung-hoon) announced that they will implement special traffic management measures in preparation for the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) held amid the spread of COVID-19.
In Yeosu City, a total of 2,056 examinees are taking the test at six test sites (including one separate test site). Due to the impact of COVID-19, the number of parent vehicles transporting examinees to the test sites is expected to increase significantly. In response, traffic police will be concentrated at major intersections and test sites from around 6 a.m. to focus on traffic flow management.
Additionally, traffic motorcycles and patrol cars will be deployed to immediately transport examinees who report difficulties arriving on time, ensuring smooth test participation. To prevent noise during the listening test, large vehicles passing near the test sites will be guided to surrounding detour roads during the third period (from around 1:10 p.m. to 1:35 p.m.).
Yeosu Police Chief Moon Byung-hoon stated, “Since students have endured many hardships due to COVID-19, Yeosu Police will actively assist to ensure a smooth CSAT. We ask for the understanding of citizens for any inconvenience, for the sake of the hardworking students,” and urged citizens for their active cooperation.
