[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Nam Gi-chan) has obtained the ‘2020 Leisure-Friendly Company Certification’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The ‘Leisure-Friendly Company Certification’ is a system hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Regional Culture Promotion Agency, which selects and certifies companies that exemplary operate related programs to help workers harmoniously balance work and leisure life, and provides support.
This year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism selected a total of 63 companies, including BPA (47 newly certified, 16 recertified), as leisure-friendly companies.
BPA, under the slogan ‘Creating a joyful work-family dual-benefit organizational culture together,’ has made efforts to create an organizational culture where work-life balance is realized by ▲introducing the PC-OFF and focused work time system, ▲guaranteeing rest rights through the operation of substitute holidays and compensatory leave systems, ▲operating in-house clubs and autonomous leisure programs such as marine sports experience events, and ▲holding cultural dinners and Culture Days with family.
Furthermore, BPA was also recognized for its efforts in creating a ‘win-win Busan Port where people are happy’ by inviting leisure-disadvantaged groups to participate in port experience activities.
President Nam Gi-chan said, “I am very pleased that the efforts of all executives and employees to create a workplace culture harmonized with work and life have been recognized, and I will take the lead in fostering a model workplace culture.”
