[Luxury Collection] Yamaha Golf UD+2 "Goes Two Clubs Further~"

"Irons with distance."

This is Yamaha Golf's new product UD+2 (photo). It was released domestically before Japan, so you can experience it sooner. UD+2 stands for Ultra Distance, a model first introduced in 2014 and nicknamed "irons that go two clubs farther" among amateur golfers. The manufacturer proudly stated, "We commissioned the Sports Industry Technology Center to conduct a distance test on 7-irons from four different brands, and UD+2 ranked first with a distance of 153m."

The secret lies in the thin face and SPEED-RIB FACE. The face thickness is only 1.9mm and the sole is 1.5mm for the 7-iron. The face flexes together up to the actual impact point, increasing the initial ball speed. Five ribs (RIB) behind the face, each 0.3mm thick, raise the launch angle. This directly translates into the power to achieve the distance of a 5-iron with a 7-iron while maintaining a high trajectory. This is why the ball does not roll far after landing at the target.

It is especially popular among seniors and female golfers who want more power in their woods. It is light but goes far and makes it easy to lift the ball. This is thanks to the SPEED-BOX applied to the driver, woods, and utility clubs. The head’s sole and crown feature a high-pressure molded 20-box structure with a depth of 1.5mm. During impact, it suppresses vibrations occurring in the body, crown, and sole, minimizing energy loss and delivering more power to the ball.
